Kanneliya Rainforest is one of the Galle’s major attractions in Southern Province, Sri Lanka. This is one of tropical rain forests. Kanneliya forest is well improved with bio diversity. There are numerous varieties of flora & fauna. It performance as a catchment for many rivers and streams, including Gin Ganga and Nilwala Ganga. Kanneliya is one of the most popular tourists’ destinations. You can bath in cool natural streams and have a lot of fun. There are some of the common pools located in the forest are the natural pool behind the Kanneliya forest resort. Kanneliya tourism has been encouraged the visitors to visit the forest during the months of March or April as it may get reduced the rainfall. There are 86 species of mammals, 36 species of snakes, species of fish and 26 species of birds here.
