Horton Plains National Park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. Horton Plains is located in central province of Sri Lanka in the districts of Nuwara Eliya. This place is one of the most attractive places in Sri Lanka. It is most beautiful and explorable to tourists. This variety in surroundings provides an elegant range in wildlife. There are various species of flora & fauna. All of the Montana endemics of Sri Lanka are found in Horton Plains. Horton plains is an attraction place to bird watching. Because there are large number of birds such as Sri Lanka bush warbler, Dull-Blue flycatcher, Sri Lanka whistling thrush and the yellow-eared bulbul, Sri Lanka Jungle-fowl etc.
